The screen first
Before the board, the pages: what reads at six metres, printed at full scale.
The pages are drawn pixel by pixel, at the panel’s resolution, without anti-aliasing, as the firmware will draw them. Printed at full scale, they can be held at cockpit distance: the first readability test, before any board.
- Three giant digits fit across, not four: width is the limit, not height.
- By the signage rule (1 mm of digit per 20 cm of distance), the countdown should reach six metres; four values at once, four metres. To be checked on the water.
- A two-pixel stroke stays sharp: a ten-minute wind trend fits under a medium-size number.
- Labels read at under a metre. They are landmarks for whoever knows the page, not values.

Next: the same pages on the real panel, in the sun, then through polarised glasses.
